Privacy policy

This policy explains what Panchang Live (“we”) collects when you use panchang.live, and why. In short: the free pages need nothing from you; an account stores only what it needs to work; we never sell your data.

  1. Using the site without an account

    • Panchang, muhurta, festivals, eclipses, horoscope, kundli and milan work without signing in.
    • Birth details you enter for a kundli or milan without an account are used only to draw that chart and are not stored.
    • A place you search for is sent to our map provider (Google) to find its coordinates and time zone.

  2. What we collect when you sign in

    • From Google sign-in: your name, email address and a Google account identifier. We never see your Google password.
    • Your settings: home city, language, time format and similar preferences.
    • Charts you save: name, birth date, time and place. These are encrypted when stored.
    • Questions you ask in Chat and the answers, so you can read them again.
    • Your Panchamudra balance and its transactions.

  3. Payments

    Payments are handled by our payment partner on its own secure page. We receive only the result (amount, status and a reference). We never see or store your card number, UPI PIN or bank login.

  4. Chat answers

    Chat answers are written by an AI model from the chart you choose and your question. To produce an answer, the question and the chart’s positions are sent to our AI provider. They are not used to identify you.

  5. Cookies

    • Sign-in cookie: keeps you signed in. Needed for the account to work.
    • Preference cookies: your theme (day or night) and your city. They stay on your device.
    • Analytics: only if you agree. Until then, no analytics runs.

  6. Why we use your data

    • To provide the service you ask for: charts, answers, reports and your balance.
    • To keep the service secure and fix errors. Error reports are stripped of personal details.
    • To reply when you write to us.

  7. Sharing

    We do not sell or rent your data. We share it only with service providers who run parts of the service for us (hosting, sign-in, maps, payments, AI answers, error monitoring), and only as needed for that purpose, or when the law requires it.

  8. How long we keep it

    • Account data: while your account is open.
    • Deleted charts: removed from our systems within 30 days.
    • Payment records: as long as the law requires for accounts and tax.

  9. Your choices

    • See and change your details in Profile and Settings.
    • Delete any saved chart at any time.
    • Delete your account from Profile. Any unused Panchamudra balance is lost when the account is deleted.
    • Ask us anything about your data: care@panchang.live.

  10. Children

    Accounts are for people aged 18 or over. You may make charts for family members, including children, with their guardian’s consent.

  11. Changes and contact

    We will post any change on this page with a new date. Questions or complaints: care@panchang.live. We reply within 15 days.
